Discovery Health

Review your favorite medical TV show.
Was it medically accurate? Was it anatomically accurate (that is, do residents actually look like that?)?

Discovery Health needs new shows?

No way I could watch Babies born all day

Easy one how about a show that follows a Resident's first year

FP
Surgery
ER

Then you could also have Fellowship Docs

I think these would be interesting
I do like the "Fat" people shows, they could also do other topics like Hospice and Home care, there are many stories there.

Travel Docs Like in ALaska and Docs without Borders,

Disaster Medicine, where Docs are in the middle of crises, Hurricanes, Massive Accidents and shows like that, I can keep coming up with ideas for sure. The Babies are fine I just want other stuff too.

Great Shows

Postby Powel6016 » Tue Dec 26, 2006 8:48 pm

Discovery Channel has some great shows. During the day they have babies being born, lalala, but at night they have much better shows. Shows include "the life of residents", "trauma life in the ER". "Dr. G- Forensic Pathalogist", just to a name a few.

yup they have one called first years. You see residents with circles under the eyes and all. Even trauma in the ER shows the residents from time to time. Nothing beats the Trauma Doc up in Canada though. Haven't seen trauma lately though - too busy studying...in fact it's been 4 weeks w/o Grey's Anatomy. Eye on the prize....the books.....the prize!!! (not the TV)
