UNECOM info?

Postby Needlegirl » Thu Nov 02, 2006 8:04 pm

Hi all,

Does anybody know anything about UNE? Is it a good school? Well respected? Can you get into competitive residencies from there? Is there a big emphasis on OMM? If you ar a student there, do you like it?

Thanks!

I am interviewing there in December and I had the same questions. The best bet is to call the school and arrange to have a student e-mail you. They are very nice about it and the students there love it.

I've done that, waiting for the contact. :) Good luck in December - maybe I'll see you there! :)

Hi,
My friend graduated from UNECOM. He recieved a good education and was well prepared for the boards. One caveat, though; UNECOM's third and fourth year externship rotations are mostly out of state (Allentown,Pennsylvania and Cooperstown, New York for example). So plan on travelling well away from Maine and multiple times during your last two years. Best of Luck.
