AAMC Practice Test #9

Postby blahblah » Mon Mar 27, 2006 9:04 pm

Did anyone think that the curve that was given on AAMC #9 was fair? I thought while it was a little easier test than AAMC #8, it still proved to be very difficult.

For example, on my Kaplan FL tests, I get 26 or 27. But on the AAMC, I reach in the lower 20s. Any opinions out there?

It differs, but based on input, it sounds like the princeton review and kaplan practice tests should be harder than the aamc tests. I think the scale for test #9 is about standard.

The only reason I doubt that the last two tests AAMC has put out is just some way to entice you to buy more of their crap. I felt that prior tests (3R - 7) have been more or less fair. I think if Kaplan is supposed to be authentic, then maybe the curves would be adjusted.

Well, I guess there is only going to be one way to find out.

I thought tests 8 and 9 were the hardest. While 3 was the easiest. Do I see a pattern here?

I swear the mcat and/or curve is harder these days with all the professional prep.
