1 interview with two faculty members, 30 minutes

They asked three standarized questions where they do not respond to your answers. They were:
Why medicine?
How do you resolve conflict?
What if medicine was not an option?
These questions took about half the time, then they asked more informal questions and we talked about Iowa football teams.

Day begins with 2 presentations, then you eat lunch with a student; then a tour of facilities, which are great.
Then interviews in the afternoon.

School looks great and I'm probably going there next year. (Accepted last week)

I enjoyed my visit and interview at Iowa. My interview was consistent with the description in the above post; however, I remember the standard questions differently. There was a question asking, “What was a time when I want beyond the call of duty and how did it impact me?” or something like that. I also really like the University of Iowa campus and the small city it resides in. I am strongly considering this as my medical school.
