Chances of getting into DO schools

Postby akaur005 » Fri Sep 14, 2012 5:56 am

Hi,

My undergraduate GPA is 3.26 and my MCAT score was 22P and I was thinking about applying. I have over 200 hours of volunteer work at hospital and lots of extracurricular activities along with working for all 4 years and teaching for over a year. But I am not sure about my chances of getting in. And over 3 yrs of research experience including a publication. Please let me know what you think I should do? what are my chances? Do I even have a chance? Thanks

Apply to DO schools that is your best chance with a low MCAT, Honestly its too low and the GPA is just high enough for DO consideration. You could get into one of the Big Caribbean 3 though. You may want to retake the MCAT

I want to apply to DO schools but not quite sure which would be best to apply to with that GPA and MCAT. Not sure what to do.

what are my chances for getting into a DO school.

I have a overall GPA 3.48, science GPA 3.15 and a 22O mcat.

I dont know if this helps but my brother just graduated from a DO school. I live in the state of Michigan and ran 4 years of college cross country
