DO Admission with 3.9 GPA and 22 MCAT

Postby hidalgo425 » Mon Mar 05, 2012 4:10 am

Hello.
I have a 3.9 GPA and a 22 MCAT. I was wondering what my chances are of getting into DO school?

I've been researching and there are many averages that have MCAT scores around 25? Also at the Texas Do school the range of MCAT scores go as low as 19 for the last few years.

Either way, just needed some outside opinions.

19 MCAT? WHat? I have never seen such a low one get accepted unless there are special circumstances like the "know someone"

Honestly I would try a lot of DO programs with the 22 but its really low for acceptance and you would be better advised to retake the MCAT

Its the whole app
So how is the
Volunteering
Shadowing
Patient experience

being the three most important points of the app besides GPA and MCAT
