According to the American medical group association “AMGA” report in 2006 this is a list of average salaries for physicians in USA.

This list may help you if you are medical student or young doctor so you can choose the most suitable specialty for your capabilities and needs.

yes they are awesome salaries. I can't wait to start working in an OR! But do you know if this is after or before taxes?

This is absolutely before taxes. You end up paying close to 50% of that salary in taxes between federal income taxes, Medicare taxes, Social Security taxes, state income taxes (unless you live in AK, FL, NH, NV, SD, TN, TX, WA, or WY), property taxes, and local income taxes (if you live in a larger city.)

I'm guessing every other state has income taxes except the states that you've just listed?
