for someone who has taken the Kaplan Prep class:
Is it worth taking? It is expensive so is it worth the money, and do you really see a profound difference?

I took it. I got a 22 on their mini-MCAT they give at the beginning of the course. I got a 28 on the real thing (took it once, after the Kaplan course).

I wasn't too happy with that score, but it wasn't Kaplan's fault. I was so burned out at that time that I didn't take advantage of what the class had to offer. If I had used the class as much as I should have, I am sure that I would have gotten 35+.

If you can devote a substantial amount of energy to the course, and you don't slack off, the course is totally worth it. They can do only so much, the rest is up to you.

I am currently taking the class. I definitely think it is worth the money that you spend. They teach you a lot of test taking strategies and if you are unhappy with your MCAT score after you complete the class, they will let you retake the class for free of charge if you choose
