Can you practice medicine in Canada if you went to a Caribbean school?
Thanks.

Short quick answer is yes, and there are Canadians at my school, many, but you really should check with the Candian Authorities on this too.
From AMCAS:AMCAS GPAs are almost always different from those calculated by the schools you have attended. Therefore, AMCAS does not in any way attempt to compare our calculations with those appearing on your official transcripts.

this is such a broad question when you say, can you i practice in canada?

i think you should think realistically about WHERE in canada you will be able to practice. if you're from toronto, and you're only allowed to practice in some little village in nunavut, will you be satisfied. i realize that the dream is to help people as a doctor, but it's really not good enough to ask whether or not you can practice in canada. each of the provinces have different regulations regarding FMG as well.

Yes that is true, I asked a few of the Canadians ( my school has about 25 to 30% of us are Canadians) and they told me the Regulations through out Canada have been lightened up for Canadians just this past year due the Physcian shortage. So if that is true it is good news but I tell any and everyone to do the research before going offshore.
