So I watch sports at times but do not know stats or follow teams.

My friend says I'm not normal and that "ALL if not MOST" people care about football and baseball and other sports.

I have and do not care that much?

So am I I truly weird? I thought that many people in healthcare was like me?

LOL

I think that yes most people do care. In EU its soccer. Here it is football. It is a very good way to talk to the average person and find common ground.

Most people have time to follow sports. As I've experienced, I don't have a lot of time as I used to back in elementary school to follow sports. I do watch Dallas Cowboys games occasionally and the Superbowl, but other than that I don't watch it or follow it.

Yes you make a good Point, and I will follow the games more when I get into residency, its important to have something common to make small talk about.

I've only recently started paying attention to sports. I'll watch part of a college game or Bears game (although last night's Bears-Giants event doesn't really count as a game). It's become a fun topic of conversation with my son, who enjoys sports, and a good way to get him to read the newspaper!
