Need help!!! (without MCAT)

Postby plip001 » Thu Oct 29, 2009 8:40 pm

Hey guys! I just barely graduated from a university with bs in biology and 3.42 gpa. I have done research for 4 years and soon to publish a paper. I also have over 100hrs of hospital expriences and shadowing. Unfortunately, I haven't taken the MCAT.

I was just wondering if I have a chance of being accepted at SABA Medical School since MCAT is not a requirement. Also, I already asked two of my bio professors to write me a good letter of recommendation. Any advice? And for the current/graduate saba students, can you please share some of your experiences living in the island. (advantages and disadvantage)

Thanks!

Why rush? Why not take the MCAT? A 3.42 sounds like it would be good enough to me, but I didn't go to SABA, so I can't say with confidence. But if you took the MCAT, you could have a lot more options . . . just something to think about.

yes you have a chance

but why not study take the MCAT and apply DO? you have a decent chance with a 30 MCAT.
From AMCAS:AMCAS GPAs are almost always different from those calculated by the schools you have attended. Therefore, AMCAS does not in any way attempt to compare our calculations with those appearing on your official transcripts.
