how to get in a top ten med school

is a 38 on the mcat and a 4.0 gpa guaranteed to get in a top ten school or is there still alot more to an application?

but i gotta say thats about 85% of it (or almost).

you got letters of rec
volunteering/patient contact
research
sometimes work experience
interview
extracurriculars
etc...

Pretty much on target here,
if you do not have volunteer and patient experience and really burn to get into a top ten school then hold off applying till you have it. Then you should have an out standing application.

When you do apply make sure your personal essay is also great, have some else go over it for you.
