You will have to retake the MCAT to get what you want

question you have to ask yourself on the second time is

What will you do if the score is under 30 the second time?

Will you give up and not apply to other schools?

I think when you are committed to medicine it does not matter where you go.

I am really seeking some opinions on whether or not I should retake the MCATs.

Ok, so I got an overall score of 28Q

PS 9
VR 8
BS 11
WS Q

I am very nervous that my VR score will be the death of me. my cum GPA is 3.61 and my sci GPA is 3.93. I have two years of shadowing/clinical work, I was a medical interpreter this past semester and plan on continuing in the fall and I have been a biology/science tutor for the past three years. I was wondering if I have a shot of getting into an MD school with my MCAT score. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I think so

I would apply widely to at least 10 schools

also DO schools ( you should be accepted outright to them IMHO)

Good Luck

Tough call again. I would apply as early and widely as possible... maybe 25+ schools to increase your chances. However, there's still a good chance you might not get in this cycle. Just hope for the best, you only need 1 acceptance to become a future MD.

Alright, I scored 18 on my 1st MCAT exam 2yrs ago (Slapped that nonsense right out of me). That was with taking the Kaplan course 2ice. GPA is 3.4. I'm retaking the exam. Now I want to create my own study beside it's a great prep for school. Recommendation on review guides (No Kaplan)? I'm reapplying to school as a non-degree grad to keep my mind active, Should I go for the post-bac program to raise that GPA? I'm very concern about it.
Oh I just graduated with Bsc in Biology May '08 :P
Thoughts will be deeply appreciated :D
