Hello, I am currently a junior Chemistry BA major. My current statistics are around 3.6 science and cumulative GPA's. Additionally, I have 7 years of clinical experience, encompassing shadows of both MD and DO practitioners. I have done research and should be getting published into two journals by the end of this year. I will have LOR from my research adviser, MD/DO doctors, and a variety of other teachers (varying from chemistry, biology and english).
I am curious how competitive my statistics are thus far? In addition to my GPA, I have taken overload semester hours for the past 2 semesters, if that makes any difference. I will be graduating with around 175 or so credit hours, if not more. Providing I perform well in the following semesters, both GPA's should be around 3.7 when I apply, as I am going to be retaking a course this summer that I received a "D" in.
I have started studying for the MCAT, hope to take it in April, but am not entirely sure if that will be possible yet--obviously I want to do as well as possible, but I think a 30 is a feasible score for me, based off the practice tests I have had so far.
What do you think? Thanks for the advice!
