Post-Bac Applicant

Hi everyone,

I graduated with my B.A. last December, but did not complete my science requirements at my undergrad institution. Instead, due to financial problems, I've been forced to take both semesters of Physics and Organic Chemistry at a local community college.

I plan on completing Organic 2 this fall, but by that time my applications will already have been sent out. Do medical schools take those final grades into account or should I figure my chances won't include the grade I earn in the class since grades technically wouldn't be final until December?

Thanks!

Remember that if you get low grades on those classes they may rescind their offer.

I was under the impression that if they accepted you without having them already taken, based on your current grades, they will either give you a mandatory grade you must achieve in order for your offer to stand, or it's a C or better kind of thing that as long as you pass, you're offer stands...

Yes, they DO take those classes into consideration, as they are prerequisites. They must be completed before matriculation, and you must at a minimum get a C or better because you have to for all prereqs...

Yes true, if accepted there's several ways
No comment ( they expect you to finish)
They tell you, you have to pass the required courses and graduate
They tell you, you must keep your GPA plus above.

I like the no comment LOL
From AMCAS:AMCAS GPAs are almost always different from those calculated by the schools you have attended. Therefore, AMCAS does not in any way attempt to compare our calculations with those appearing on your official transcripts.
