Continuing medical education courses in Pediatrics are available
on-line from several sources. The cost and number of credits per
course varies. The following is a list of free continuing medical
education courses geared primarily to pediatricians.
Free Pediatrics CME
Medline
CME courses: Medline offers CME courses online for most medical
specialties. Most of the courses are free, and regularly updated.
Registration with Medline is required.
Baylor
College of Medicine CME: These are free online CME courses
offered by Baylor. Each course is reviewed annually. Credits range
from 0.5 to 2 category 1 CME credits. The target audience includes
pediatricians, family practice physicians, and general practice
physicians.
Childhood Asthma and
Allergies: Produced by the National Jewish Medical and Research
Center and Clarus Health, this course is targeted to pediatricians
and family practice physicians. It provides 1 Category 1 CME credit
hour.
Thomson
Medical CME: This is a series of many pediatrics CME courses,
each providing 1 hour of Category 1 CME credit.
Cystic
Fibrosis: This is a series of 3 cases on the management of
cystic fibrosis. Each course provides 1 hour of Category 1 credit.
Free registration is required; produced by Genentech.
